On the anniversary of the day his father abandoned the family as well as his enlistment to national service, the then-20-year-old Surajsrikan Diwakar Mani Tripathi took a foldable knife and a wet wipe with him on his regular run.<br /><br />He then attacked a stranger - stabbing and slashing him.
